As a matter of fact!

Facts matter.  There is no substitute for good solid facts backed up by some sort of authority.  Where that authority comes from determines the attention to the fact proclaimed.  For instance, the FDA has propagated the "fact" of the food pyramid forever (almost) while scientific "fact" debunks the pyramid.    You may challenge this "fact" and I would suggest you look to who funded the decision to include what's included in the pyramid.  You will be surprised!  Another "fact" we don't like to look at is the claim of car companies for a "lifetime warranty".  No such animal.  Don't believe me?  Take a trip to an auto dismantler or maybe have your vehicle break down on Route 66 somewhere between Nowhere and Somewhere.  Then we have the "fact" about life sentences to prison for murder.  The real "fact" is a life sentence in the United States for murder is 7 years or less for good behavior.  "Facts" are manipulation (often) of truths in order for the authority to bend you into what they want.  Not so with God.  But many Christians don't believe God when it comes to fact as is evidenced by the "facts" most Christians accept from the Church of Feel Good that exists for the relief of those who have a desire to listen to lies instead of God.  But, I get ahead of myself.
While I was growing up, I was led to believe that I was German and maybe a bit of Norwegian.  Never mind the facts.  Turns out I'm Irish and English with a smattering of a few other backgrounds. The "facts" led me to a love of German food, German language and history, and a bit of ostracization regarding the Germans in WWII.  Truth be told, if you read history books from other countries you find different renditions of the same situation beneficial to that country.  See what the English have written about our Revolutionary War.  Unlearning what's been put before us is a difficult task.  So, many have taken to rewriting history to "fit" the new set of facts.  I know, it sounds a lot like George Orwell in 1984.  Unfortunately, many still seek to rewrite history, lineage, and other things for their comfort rather than face the truth.  Imagine your children finding out that the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy are lies and confronting you.  Then they grow up to propagate those lies and others to their children.  Imagine all the children who have been led to believe "facts" spoken in hate about their father/mother after divorcing.
What a tangled web we weave when we first begin to deceive. goes the quote.  Ask Adam and Eve about that one.  Satan is the great deceiver and his purpose is to steal souls from God by any means he can.  Job was another example of Satan's work.  Satan went to God and said if God removed his protection that Job would curse God.  So Satan went to work and lost the bet as Job said, "If he (God) slay me; yet will I praise him." Fact.  Today you and I can choose the facts of the world or the facts according to God.  One leads to death and the other leads to life.  One is meant to destroy while the other is meant to create.  Which facts do you choose.  Fact:  Salvation is only through Jesus.  Remember, it's always your choice.
