Technology is amazing!

About a week ago I was cutting down some bamboo that was in the way of a project.  I decided to strip the bamboo of it's leaves and use the bamboo for my plants and in my garden.  As I was going through the process of cutting off the leaves I made a couple of observations.  First, the bamboo was consistently structured the same on every bamboo stalk I had cut down (about 25).  Second, the bamboo leaves or branches were located on the "rings" on opposing sides.  One ring would have the branch on the left and the next would have the branch on the right.  At every branch site there would be 2 branches.  It was amazing!  Every stalk was the same in structure!  Nature has a way of showing us just how much better God is at creating than we will ever be.  I also noted that on a potted peony that at nigh time and into the morning there appeared to be a drop of liquid at the base of each flower bud.  That same drop was on EVERY flower bud without exception.  I first thought that the drop was water but quickly discovered that it was more like sap.   Obviously God can not only create wonderful plants but can also design plants that know how to take care of even the minute issues they face.
Technology has made me fearful.  Having lost whole documents to an incorrectly touched button has brought up my caution level and my need to save documents more frequently.  I have many problems with current technology on my phone that children age 5 can easily maneuver through.  Where I am lost, they are able to somehow see the program as it is.  What the world has and is doing is simplifying through complexity.  Yep, that sounds real contradictory and probably is.  Technology is good and then sometimes not so good.   While first graders are educated about keyboards and typing their alphabet, today's children find it difficult to write with their hand on paper.  Letters to and from people has decreased so much that one would wonder just how wonderful technology is or isn't.  Instant news, emails, texts, video's, and more make our world one without need for waiting.  Technology is great and yet...
There are some things that technology simply cannot affect, change or enhance.  Take emotions for instance.  They are human and are not able to be re-invented by technology.  Decision making may be more informed by technology but really can't do anything unless WE make the decision.  Imagination is wonderful and able to be put into reality with the aid of technology.  However, we first need to have the imagination which is inside of us.  It is a wonderful thing for those with medical and psychological needs.  Yet, there needs to be an inner strength and resolve for that technology to be put into effect and results to be seen.  We may have a car or truck that can now be used to transport us without a driver; but we still need to program where it is we want to go.  Does it have a button for, "I need to go to the bathroom now!"  Technology is only as good as those who bring it about.  Bringing technology into our world is dependent upon those who are understanding the needs of same.  That same technology used for good is also used for bad purposes.
Technology is great.  God is the best at creation.  He created so that we could see His glory in creation.  Check out some of his technology today.
