People may tire of "bad boys" and "bad girls" in Hollywood style news. I know I do. For the sake of my blog today and my laziness I will just use the bad boy phrase and everyone reading can take that to mean anyone or anybody. Bad boys are mostly associated with their drug usage, alcohol usage and their public and private exploits. Often complete with pictures showing their unashamed behavior which offends the moral minded. Bad boy mentality applies to many over different economic and social parameters. Sometimes the news reports this "shock" posturing just to get more readers. Whatever the reason, bad boys exist and their reputation precedes any movement in their lives. Quite frankly, I'd prefer to be a bad boy for Christ. The Bible is full of them if you want to read about them. My blog today is to encourag5e bad boy mentality from God's point of view. It's a lot simpler than you might think!
Qualities of a Christian bad boy:
1. Be a on fire for Jesus Christian. Mediocre need not apply for the bad boy position.
2. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
3. Believe that the Bible is the Word of God and accept that God means what he says.
5. Believe that God can do miracles anytime, anyplace through you.
6. Be the voice and hand of God for real!
7. Be prepared for battle (especially with other well intentioned Christians).
8. Be the man or woman of God He wants you to be.
9. Preach the Gospel and engage controversy.
10. Engage spiritual warfare.
11. Never apologize for standing up for the God who saved your soul.
12. Pray all the time and pray all the time.
13. Stand up for Jesus at all times!
14. Repeat all the above because it's necessary.
Trust me, do the above and you will be a bad boy for Christ. You will be persecuted, people will say all sorts of evil things about you, you will be ostracized and an outcast. But, you will be in Gods wil and protected by His love and grace. The Holy Spirit will talk with you daily and your life will be filled with the promises of God. People will come to know Jesus and be saved because of your desire to be a bad boy for Christ. You my even end up a martyr for Jesus and get to go home to be with Jesus. Your life will never be the same and neither will the lives of those who come into contact with you. It only takes on initial step. Make a choice. It's always your choice.
