Perhaps you haven't made yourself clear

Speaking your truth loudly is just as ineffective as speaking that truth quietly if it's not God's truth.  We go about looking for ways and means to bring the Gospel to others in a way that they would accept Jesus as their Savior and be saved.  But it seems that so many don't listen.  Why is that?  What is it that we are doing, thinking and saying that negates what we are trying to get people to believe?  Maybe that is because we are trying to speak our truth instead of God's truth.  I know that many act out of best intentions. I have and you have.  I know that we try to appease people by not offending them God's truth.  I have and you have.  I know that we try to be that "living example" so that others will want what we have.  I have and you have.  Yet, it seems that people aren't into having Jesus as their Lord.  Perhaps we need to take another approach.  Perhaps we need to start telling God's truth uncompromisingly.  Maybe we need to realize and be comfortable with the fact that the Gospel is offensive to those who are perishing because it convicts them of their sin.  Maybe we need to be as serious in preaching His Gospel as he was when he died on the cross for you and I.  The call for doing what God wants, saying what God wants and being what God wants isn't a multiple choice question.  It never was.
Paul broached the subject of being all things to all people in order that they may be saved.  That didn't mean he compromised the Gospel he loved or the Lord he belonged to.  Speaking the truth in love doesn't mean being nice.  It means that we love God so much and love his people so much that we speak the truth without compromise.  We tell people they are lost and going to hell in order to deter that taking place.  It's not to make people feel bad.  It's to make people understand the dire straits of their choices in regards to God.  You might think that a feel good Gospel is right for some situations.  It's not.  You might think the prosperity Gospel is right for some situations.  It's not.  You might think tough love Gospel is right for some situations.  It's not.  So what is the Gospel that has the power to save souls?  It begins with your own beliefs.  You either believe ALL of the Bible or you don't believe it at all.  When we question God, we send that message to others.  You either believe that Jesus died for ALL sinners or you don't.  When we think that the Gospel is only for a select group there is no Gospel being preached at all.  When we you and I preach any other Gospel than the one presented in the Word, you and I preach no Gospel at all.  God is pretty good at what he does.  He asks us to do the same.  Don't be afraid to tell the truth.  I'd rather hear someone say, "I wish I had listened to you." than "I wish you had told me the truth."
Making His way your life is not an option, temporary thing or occasional event.  Making His way the only way is not a choice; it's a command.  We are commanded to present His Gospel in an uncompromising way.  Use this as a judge of how you are doing with that.  If the enemy isn't attacking you, you probably aren't doing what God wants.  If the world accepts you as one of their own, you probably aren't doing what God wants.  Having that truth before us, we have a choice to make.  Having heard in your heart the truth you are obligated to choose whether you will surrender to God and be his servant or not surrender and be his enemy.  It's your choice. It always has been your choice.
